web page examples
microsite
The image at the right is one example of
a web page that I designed for Fred Meyer. "Budget
Buzz" is the first microsite concept attempted
by our eCommerce team. We developed the ideas and created
the look and feel of the site from scratch using no previous
templates. My responsibilities in the project included:
- Decide the size of the pages - 800 pixel wide
- Taking the header - the original artwork created by
one of the print designers - and giving it the right color
contrast for web viewing, brightening it up quite a bit.
- Organizing the imagery and optimizing them for web.
- Create the menu bar and links.
- Work closely with the copy team and account managers
for image approval and copy placement.
css and templates
In addition to putting together the
look and feel of web pages, I purposed css to format the
tables and text in each page template that was developed.
This helped minimize production time and maximize creativity
for both the copy and image editors.

Here are a couple of selected web pages
that I have helped create. I hope to give you a feel for
the type of work, design variations, and attention to details
I am capable of achieving.
Spring
Fashion Trends for 2008
Beginning with blank pages and images of misses
clothing styles, I worked with a fashion expert at Fred
Meyer to originate themes for several pages. I created the
artwork that enclosed the pages, top and bottom, and stylistic
details of each page, including the header at the top of
the pages, while keeping in mind a spring color pallet.
A copy editor decided the copy. Finally, after several proofs,
this was the final outcome:
Red, White & Blueberry Trifle
Leigh Ann's recipes are popular with FM's Customers.
I designed the template and placement of the images for
all the recipes. Here is an example:
